She definately has a cheeky character this one Love how its painted very detailed, especially the fabric round the arm area, it sparkles. Like the detail in the wings but not sure where the one behind starts, probably just needs a little more defining. But wow this is a great image keep it up
YAY!!!! I LOVE THIS PIECE!!! I saw this years ago on Elfwood and fell in love with it. I moved over to DA and I'm so happy that I found it here as well! This piece is really inspirational!!! Amazing work!!!
Wow it's stunning. I myself did a tutorial for a magazine just lately. It will be published in september, and i know they will send me a copy. I can't wait to see the result cuz it's my first publishing, but i'm kinda affraid of readers's reaction The Photoshop tutorial i did is really for beginners (in a magazine for skilled-people )
Saying this probably makes me look silly, but I especially love how you made the redness in the ears. People (including me) tend to forget how red the ear gets when sun shines through, it's a small detail you easily tend to forget. But you didn't hahaha
hi, i would like to use your digital painting for doing a traditional painting for my design school (i am not using the same colors, i would use complementary colors, it would be a monocromy) . Of course, i would give u the credits for the original painting. would it be possible? answer me please. (:
This has got to be one of the best fairies I have ever seen. The expression in her face and pose combined with the colors make the whole picture very eye catching. I am having trouble typing this because I keep staring at her. ^.^;
It's a mix of Photoshop and Painter. In Photoshop I usually paint with standard round hard edge brush & use airbrush for smoothing. These days I also use some texture brushes... there are many of them in Photoshop so I use something that fits to the painting I'm doing. No special preferences.
In Painter I use camel hair brushes, chalk, digital watercolor, airbrush, palette knife, various blenders... something like that. The settings are default except the opacity and size. Basically you can play with any brushes until you find something that works for you.
