The raw beauty of painting with in depth nature. This is a very good reference based painting, so far the best painting an Asian female. I love how it is a digital work made to look sl pure in the traditional criteria.
Well the brushes are from zhuzhu I believe (see my journal for the link), this guy got some crazy ones. The skintone is a result of mixing brushwork with airbrushing. You can paint some areas with brushes and then airbrush them a bit (or vice versa) to get that soft translucent effect. Also paint in hi-res so after resizing all your strokes will blend in quite nicely.
As for the hi-res, say you want your final image at 1000 x 500 pixels size, so you should paint twice the size at 2000 x 1000 pix. But it's not a rule, just a suggestion. Consider DPI when working for print (magazines, books, posters), they usually need 300-600 dpi for standard 8.5 x 11.0" page.
Lovely Can I ask, what style of painting this is called or more so, what types of brushes... dry/wet media etc? Sorry for the questions, I really want to learn how to do this style of painting and want to know what it's called so I can look for tutorials or even classes... thank-you
Thank you for the interest! Well I'm not sure about the style defenition, for me it's more or less realistic one. As for the brushes, you can download the same set I've used here from zhuzhu (chinese artist).
